This unit was interesting, and was a good reminder of the ideas of assessment'for' learning versus assessment 'of' learning. Assessment and evaluation can be a useful tool in student learning, not just a summative final snap-shot of achievement. Regular assessment which marks student progress, and acts as an indication of what needs to be focused on or revisited in the classroom ensures continuous student growth and achievement.
