In this unit I learnt the four most important things a student needs to learn a new language. I've had the opportunity of working with English speaking children in French immersion and the more they are exposed to the language, the better it is. Children love learning new words and especially with pictures matching the word. They would build sentences using the picture prompts and this would enable them to understand the meaning of the word. I'm also presently living in Mexico and I'm exposed to the language on a daily basis and I'm now thinking in Spanish and speaking it without having to constantly translate in my head. I can now say that I'm fluent, but not accurate.
