This unit focuses on teaching the receptive skills. The ability to understand information. To read and listen successfully an individual must acquire special skills such as predictive skill, scanning, skimming, read detailed information mad deduce meaning of individual words. I also learned the importance of choosing a topic. As the topic is a big motivator to students, it should be interesting enough to keep them engaged. The teacher must ensure all students are equally catered by using variety of topics.
