This unit started by giving the reasons why it is vital for teachers to evaluate and give ongoing feedback to the students. It went ahead to state that a student's language level can be assessed through tutorials, tests and evaluation by the students. Under tests, the unit made mentioned of the different test types ( Placement, Progress, Diagnostic, Practice and General External Examinations. I got to learn that if the feedback procedure is made overt, it is going to make a long way in providing students with the information they need to evaluate their own progress and level.
