This unit on Teaching Special Groups was useful in that it reminded me that all students may not be "traditional students." They may vary drastically in age and in motivation for study. This can be a challenge. However, the tools listed (such as inquiring about why students are learning English) may help to engage students and keep them on track for their personal goals. This unit also served as a nice refresher to the Engage, Study, Activate format in teaching English as a second language.
