This Unit describes the use of modal verbs in English for expression of obligation, possibility, probability, ability, advice, etc. The detailed use in different tenses is presented. There is also the explanation of the use of Passive Voice in different tenses (Simple, Continuous, Perfect) and its contrast to the use of Active voice. The Passive is considered to be more frequently used in formal language or when the person who does the action is not known or important. The Unit also describes Transitive and Intransitive verbs.
