This unit on Past Tenses is very similar to the earlier unit on Present Tenses just that the past tenses relates to past periods. The usages of the continuous, perfect, simple and perfect continuous forms were all discussed and examples given. I observed that a common difficulty for students will be memorizing the past simple forms of the irregular verbs. Different sample activate teaching ideas were also given.
