I used to do everything according to our text books, sometimes there are too many things to cover, and it's a bit overwhelming for students. And I never anticipated problems for both students and teachers, so I would spend extra time dealing the problems or explaining. And I never set a time for each phase, sometimes I couldn't cover all the things I needed to teach in a class, and I would spend extra time making up for it.
I would say my biggest problem on preparing a class was timing.
After this unit, I learned to use the more specific format for lesson planning. I made some changes as our center mainly targeting 1 on 1 tutoring. For the interaction part, we can only do T-S, but as teachers, we can sometimes pretend to be students and do activities with students. We as teachers can sometimes make some mistakes on purpose, and let the students to correct us, etc.
