This unit covered materials that the teacher will bring to the classroom to guide and supplement lessons. Examples of these materials fall into three categories: authentic materials, created materials, or course books. Each type of material has their advantages and disadvantages, for example course books can be too rigid for your students, or too expensive. However, a good teacher will explore all three categories of materials to meet the needs of his/her students and their learning goals.
