This unit was a very in depth look into the teaching of pronunciation and phonology. In relation to this course, it is important to consider the sounds that our language makes and how these sounds can be confusing and difficult for students to understand. The unit outline various aspects of pronunciation, including phonetics and the parts of our mouth and vocal organs that produce sounds that are specific to English. Understanding the linguistics behind English and effective strategies to teach these concepts to our students are integral to higher student success.
