From Unit 1, I have gained a general introduction of the role of the teacher, as well as the roles of students in the classroom. From reading the course material I have learned about the Common European Framework for languages and its aptitude as a scale for measuring a student's ability level.I also learned about the different roles that an effective English educator plays in the classroom. The course material gave me an overview of the terminology that I will need to understand not only the needs of students but also how to develop the skills necessary to best help the English learners.
