It is true that many course books are not perfectly suited to any grade levels but thanks to research recently a few books/programs especially for English Language teaching have been developed that are very close to being ideal. We use the Jolly Phonics and grammar program in our school and this program is not only very methodological but also extremely appropriate for school use. However, it does as we learnt in this unit need material to be supplemented especially for grammar topics. Good resource material is sometimes hard to find!
