In this unit I have learnt the advantages and disadvantages of using different learning and teaching material in class. I have always wanted to use CDs for listening comprehensions and have found my students enjoying such activities although they are at first intimidated by them. Video clips and usage of DVDs has always helped me teach much more effectively and hold students' attention. Students tend to remember things that they are made to watch.
