Prepared course materials can add to the motivation of the students because they can be geared to the student's interest and can be less stuffy than a typical text book. Using text books, however, can be easier for teachers because it gives a guideline of what to teach and it is reliable. Teachers must remain creative and either omit what they don't like, replace what they don't like, or supplement the lessons.
