According to unit 4, from what I've gathered there are four different forms of "present tense". Each of the present tense consists of a different sets of ruling and usages in their own category. The four present tense that was introduced to us were present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. Each sections contains the three types of form; affirmative, negative and questions.
