The focus in this unit was on the different methodologies and techniques that can be used when teaching English and the importance of applying a variety of them, instead of using just one. I believe it is vital that a teacher realises the difference between their students, as this will enable the teacher to use the correct approaches in teaching. The methadology applied with a student living in an English speaking environment for example could not be as affective when used with a student who's only contact with the language could be just in English classes. The unit also focused on the importance of teachers providing students with feedback and correction of mistakes and the appropriate techniques when doing so.
