The unit discussed the materials used in the classroom which are divided into two groups: authentic materials and created materials. Authentic materials are up-to-date and from the real world. They are more interesting and motivating for the students. Created materials are designed by teachers and are considered as the supplement or replacement of the course book. The unit also talked about the advantages and disadvantages the course book.
