This unit covered the various parts of speech, including some that I, as a native English speaker, hadn’t been taught before. For example, my classrooms never discussed gerunds or countable vs uncountable nouns, which are important things to possess knowledge of when teaching the English language to someone who may not be familiar with it. This unit gave me many clear examples of the different parts of speech and the proper way to structure a sentence using them.
