Although to what extent and in which exact style it is used, most people would agree that creating and using lesson plans is a fundamental part of having a successful class lesson. (I also agree with this theory!) It not only helps the teacher to organize his/her thoughts and ideas about what to do in each particular lesson, but it also allows the teacher to identify and work towards achieving goals- both for what the students will learn/accomplish and what the teacher will do to improve as well. Being prepared while staying flexible- that's what it's all about to me! To have the support of a plan but to be able to change the plan as needed in each lesson is what the ultimate goal of every good teacher should be, in my humble opinion!
