In this unit, two videos were given to compare the teaching. In the first video, the teacher made many mistakes. He was late. He was unprepared. He was harsh and rude. He didn't explain anything that he wanted, never gave examples. He didn't know the students name and didn't work to build a rapport. Essentially, the teacher seemed like he didn't even want to be there. The students were confused and may have walked away learning something but not much. In the second lesson, you could tell that the teacher really cared about the students. He explained a lot. He let them try to give the answers to help them remember what they already know. He engaged all the students and gave as many chances for them to speak as possible.
