I think that as a teacher, we have a lot of roles to play for the class to be productive and effective. Catching their attention and motivating the students are vital in helping them to learn english. Therefore, as a good teacher, one should be able to switch roles according to the activities being carried out in the class. For instance, be the controller and model when we want them to pay attention to what we are teaching. On the other hand, be the one of participants inside the group, to motivate them in learning english as an insider and equal.
Apart from that, we have to be organised in terms of planning for the class, such as the activities and games to engage them. We have to understand and be aware of students' levels in english language before approaching and guiding them with our teaching methods and materials.
