This unit was mainly about testing. It had a few ideas for how one could keep track of students' progress without an actual test, but most of the information referred to different types of tests. It also had a lot of information on testing that takes place outside of the school. I did not realize that there were so many different types of external exams, but this information is necessary for an English teacher. Many students may need to take these exams, especially if they plan to attend certain universities or attain certain jobs. One of the most interesting tests to me is the placement test. I'm still not sure I fully understand how the levels can be determined based on this exam.
