This unit provided interesting information about how a teacher may conduct effective teaching in the classroom so as to create an atmosphere that encourages and supports better learning. I thought the categorisation of actions that teachers may take was helpful because the categorisation made individual actions easy to understand (e.g. eye contact, gesture voice). I thought the tips for how to increase and reduce teacher talk time or balance teacher talk time with student talk time helpful as well as the analysis provided for maintaining discipline.
