In this unit, I have learnt how to examine the modal auxiliary verbs and the passive voice as well as a brief overview of phrasal verbs and relative clauses. The modal's are can, could, might ,should , will, would are used before other verbs to add meaning to the main verb. Modal's can also be used to express a number of different ideas such as Obligation- l must go now. My friend's expecting me. Modal auxiliary verbs can also be used to express differing degrees of formality. They don't change in form according to person. The verbs are followed by a verb in its base from -l might go. This applies for both present and future meanings. Modals with more than one meaning may express ideas in different ways according to meaning. I have learnt about the passive voice and that there are two voices used in English. The active and the passive, the differences and usage. It also teaches me about teaching ideas and the typical students errors. It also teaches me that relative clauses are divided into 3 categories. This includes independent, dependent and relative clause
