Pronunciation and phonology are whole subjects in themselves and could be a lot of fun to teach in a class. I feel it would be beneficial to spend a little time in each lesson on the subject in preparation to a whole lesson focusing on Pronunciation and phonology alone. The whole lesson would probably suit the intermediate level and above learners as they would enjoy the challenges of learning the subject.
As a teacher new to this subject I would have to become more familiar with the phonemic symbols once again. I have only spent a little time on them before when I was trying to teach myself French so that I could pronounce the words as read from my French dictionary. I find it a fascinating subject in itself.
