An element of fun goes a long way in aiding and forever giving joy to the students who learn X, Y, and Z from a teacher. I deeply appreciate all the teachers in my life who went the extra mile in incorporating what was written in this unit. Young Learners are not adults and should not be treated as such in the classroom environment. Imagination and fun should be an integral part of any curriculum. As noted in this unit the learning objectives guide the teacher in developing fun activities using arts and crafts, games, songs, stories, and seasonal themes. A multidimensional approach should always considered given the different learning modalities of each student. Given the youth of each learner each sense or intelligence should be stimulated to maximize the learning potential and topic interest. I have learned from this unit that a great deal of preparation is needed to have a successful class not in terms of just an emotional reaction from the student body, but to maximize topic mastery.
