From the information given in Unit 2, the different part of speech in the English language was introduced. It was filled with a vast amount of information. As a native English speaker, I have never really thought about the different parts of speech that non-native speakers have to learn. It is quite confusing and I can see why many people believe that is English is a hard language to master. Going over the information myself, I became confused and mixed up many of the specific terms for the different parts of speech such as prepositions, conjunctions, transitive and intransitive verbs. It is amazing how much I took for granted. The thing that surprised me the most was the difference between possessive pronouns and possessive adjectives. I tried to make a sentence to distinguish between the two, thinking hard on the matter with respect to the information provided. It was quite the experience to consciously be aware of the parts of speech I was trying to employ.
