In this unit, I have learned that it is important to also develop the receptive skills (reading and listening) of the students. It is because these skills are important for them to communicate in English effectively, along with the productive skills, speaking, and writing. As a teacher, it is important that the way the lessons are presented to the students are laid in a manner that will provide the least confusion possible. Two of the many ways to do so is to always pre-teach any difficult vocabulary and to choose materials that are of interest to the students.
