In this unit, I learned that you cannot use one type of future tense for all future statements, purposes, dialogues, plans, and more. There is a specific type for each purpose to deliver the best meaning and emphasis. For example, if you are predicting something to happen at a future date but you can prove that it will happen, then the best type of use is the future simple. However, if your prediction is based on fact or has substantial evidence, then the be going to type is best to be used.
