There are different types of classes to be taught. Teaching classes to beginning language learners may consist of students who are young, those who have no English language skills, those who have little or knew some and have forgotten it, and even those may not even know the Roman alphabet. A class may also have students in it who all speak different languages and will learn English, the only language they will have in common. It may be that teaching a class could be in a business setting, where you are the expert teacher of English and should focus on that rather than if you do or don't know the industry in which the class is being held.
