This unit is very important as it discusses and explains the importance of the level testings, of the needs analysis and of the examinations for the students. Additionally,it explores the development of a course and the design of a syllabus. It makes clear that the teacher need to know the level of the students before the start of the course. The clear separation and description of the different levels of a student is very useful. Furthermore,this unit explains thoroughly the different tests that a teacher can use in order to evaluate the students. It helped me to understand the differences betwween these tests. What is more,I learnt that the evaluation of each course is of high importance as it can help me as a teacher to improve my lessons. I have also learnt that the feedback of the students is valuable because they can make suggestions for improvement of the materials and of the teaching style. All in all,i understood that the assessment both of the student and of the teacher is of equal importance for the success of a course.
