In this unit, we focus on 3 different aspects of language teaching: The Vocabulary, Grammar and Functions. we have learned that lessons for teaching grammar and vocabulary are commonly use the 'Straight Arrow' ESA approach, whereas functions-based lessons are more commonly approached with 'Boomerang' or 'Patchwork' ESA structure. But this is not a rule we must follow, depending on each class and the language that will be introduced, we might use 'Patchwork' grammar lesson for mid level students.
