This unit explains the past tense and subdivides it into four past tenses; the past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous.
The unit gives the appropriate usage of each tense .e.g. the past simple is used for actions completed at a definite time in the past. It also brings to light the common errors/mistakes that students might make with each of the past tense forms, and also suggests useful and tense-appropriate class activities and teaching ideas (according to students levels) for each of the past tenses.
