This unit covered classroom behaviour and detailed techniques for managing classes. Ways in which to use things such as voice, gestures and students names was included and examples of scenarios where this was and was not necessary were detailed. The unit also talked about different classroom seating arrangements and when each should be used. The pros and cons of groupwork, pairwork and individual work were listed. The unit then went over importance of balancing student and teacher talk time. Finally, behavioural problems and techniques for discipline were detailed. The unit was helpful in giving prospective teachers some idea of how to approach handling classes.
