In this unit, I was able to view two videos demonstrating the differences between ineffective and effective teaching methods and strategies. I was able to learn about some approaches that could be used to engage students, as well as how to be flexible in providing different explanations for concepts that students might struggle to understand initially. Given the significant impact that teaching strategy can have on students' understanding and the classroom environment, I hope to be able to use the second video, which highlights more of the effective strategies, as a reference going forward.
