This unit is focused on casebooks and lesson materials. As teachers it is important to know how and when to use certain types of materials in the classroom. If a teacher teaches directly from the course book students lose interest and their individual needs may not be meet, that is why it is important to balance course books with supplementary materials. These supplementary materials may be authentic materials such as magazines or songs while created materials are made by the teacher specifically tailored to the students level. Again both eyes of materials have their merits and it is god to balance the two too meet specific student needs.
