Testing is very important for several reasons. For one, testing is important because it shows how much a student knows, or doesn't know. Another reason would be to place a student in the appropriate level. Testing also would show what the teacher needs to improve on as well. For example, if the majority of students get the same question incorrect, then it means that they did not understand the lesson. Therefore, the teacher needs to go back and make adjustments to make that section clearer.
