This unite talked about the different levels my students might be in. They where divided into different groups all from young beginners to adults. Also students without the Roman alphabet. Then there was tips for teaching beginners like giving praise, and give clear, simple instruction etc. It also had some possible problems I might face during my teaching such as to help the weaker students, but also not hold back the stronger once. This can be quite challenging because you want you're strong students to move forward but you also need to provide for the weaker to not completely fall of the horse. It also gives advise as to teaching one to one students, its benefits and also negatives. Teaching children is something I will vote for is quite fun and also rewarding. Since I have several years in kindergarten I know this process is both fun and enjoyable to watch them learn and grow both in language but also in social matters. Kids need a lot of love, and they can sense when someone don't like them or like Kids at all, so it's quite vital that you like kids if you choose this line of work. Something to keep in mind while teaching children is to have lots of patients. To raise the voice or to be physical is something a good teacher does not do. It mention about business English, here different factors are at play, if the students are motivated or not. They might not have signed up for the course but been assigned by their boss, in order to continue their job. Here you do well as to ask each students what they need to work with and want to improve. They all might have very different area, so even tho it might be challenge to fulfil it all, if you have enough time, you will be able to go into every one of their "problem area". The client might be in their early 20s to late 50s. You want to plan these lessons well, also to keep in mind to keep them interesting. This is people that might come strait from work, and would prefer to go home to families and relax. During a course like this it's good to keep a revaluation, to see what is lacking and needs more work and also the progress. Never gossip about the students to others, this will backfire and its also not ethical. Be well prepare with whatever equipment is needed. Teaching a monolingual group or multilingual group has also it's different ups and downs. As to monol. might then to go back to their L1 instead of English, while mult. don't have this opportunity. This can also prove to be a help to learn the language quicker than the mono. In any case you want to avoid the use of their language. Because this might backfire and they will just wait for you to talk to them in their language.
