This unit was helpful in understanding why assessments are necessary and helpful in students reaching their maximum potential in a class. Without a good grasp of when to give assessments, which type of assessment to give, and how to use the information gathered from assessments, teachers will not be able to give students the level of English they need, or prepare them well for what they plan to use English for.
