Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!
This unite shows how important it is to make a good lesson plan. It is also important for future use, to see the progress of you're self and you're students. Also incase of sickness and another teacher will step in, if a well planed lesson if given, its easier for the substitute teacher to know what to convey to the students during that class. Another thing it mention is being organised. A lesson plan should include learners objective, personal aims, language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems (for both teacher and students, with solution), procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, date/time and teacher's and observer's names.
This unites also gives a good example of a filled in lesson plan. I'm also a big fan of the monitoring your lesson. This way you will always move forward and better learn from you're mistakes. I know it's easy to come in some sort of habit of doing things and not progress. But with this sheet you will always point out what was good and also what was not so good, so you can continue to progress.
