In this unit I have learned about the characteristics of a good teacher and a good learner. I agree with the conclusion of the unit that a good teacher will most likely have good students as a broad view of cause and effect. The teacher, being the authority figure in a learning environment, directs the path of the learners. If the teacher is leading them in a confusing path, the students will be confused as well. I have also learned the difference between the young and adult learner and how to use these differences in teaching. Young kids will need a lot of visuals and play to learn because they have no grasp of language rules yet. Adult learners understands language rules easier however, the challenge would be ironing out ingrained mistakes and encourage them to have an open mind in learning.
