Many materials can be used during English lessons and it is important for a teacher to provide a variety of sources to keep the classes interesting and current. Authentic material, created material and course books all have their advantages and disadvantages and it is important for a teacher to know when to use them and to what degree. Beginners may find authentic materials too hard and therefore created material would be more beneficial, and advanced students may find that authentic material is more useful in their everyday lives.
