This unit is, of course, a part of the necessary information about teaching verbs and grammatical tenses which makes it useful to people like me who will be teaching English. As English is my first language, the verb tenses are something that I know simply through using the language. To see them laid out as they were in the chapter is helpful for when I will need to distinguish between them in order to teach my classes.
