In this TEFL course I have learned many of the key tools to being a successful ESL teacher. This course has reinforced my knowledge of english grammar, taught me the EFL methodology and other techniques for teaching, as well as classroom management. It explored other classroom aspects like teaching tools (equipment, course books, lesson materials) that as a teacher I should consider, and it honed my lesson planning skills.
Though I already have some teaching experience, this course has better prepared me for future lessons. I feel better equipped to explain material and I feel more aware of the classroom and classroom dynamics.
In addition to the material I have processed, I plan to reference the course material for ideas, suggestions and possible solutions to problems that may be needed for the classroom. I think all of these things will greatly enhance my students’ classroom and learning experience.
