Grammar conditionals are used to show possibilities and hypothetical situations by using If-clauses. There are many types of conditionals and they are used in different situations: Zero conditional refers to facts or truth and actions, example: If/when you heat the ice, the ice melts. First conditional talks about a real situation, example: I will be happy if he will come for my birthday tomorrow. Second conditional talks about the unreal situation, example: If I met Donald Trump, I would say "Hi!". Third conditional is more on imaginary/ hypothetical/ unreal past action, example: If I had not eaten seafood, I would not have a skin allergy.Mixed conditionals a combination of different conditionals, depending on the message the speaker wants to convey, example: If I were rich, I would have bought the Versace dress we saw yesterday. In this mixed conditional sentence, it talks about reality that the speaker is not rich, that is why the speaker did not buy the Versace dress. In teaching reported speech, the teacher should remind the learners that they should be aware of the changes in verb form. In reported speech, the sentence should have the phrase "He/She/They said/ told" plus change of verb tense such as present simple to past simple, present continuous to past continuous, present perfect to past perfect, present perfect continuous to past perfect continuous, past simple to past perfect, past continuous to past perfect continuous, will to would, past perfect will remain the same, past perfect continuous will also remain in structure.
