This unit covers conditional and reported speech and the nuances of how they are communicated. While studying this lesson, I realized that I had never considered the complexity of either of these items. I appreciated how the lesson broke down the various conditionals and provided excellent examples of each as well as interesting teaching activities. Both of these items of speech are so common, I take them for granted. Studying this lesson has helped me to realize how difficult it must be for English language learners. When tasked with teaching these items, I will be sure to give students ample time to process, and hopefully, make the material engaging and approachable.
