This unit gave me a good insight into the two receptive skills (reading and listening) that students should know to have reasonably good command on any language. The example task materials and the example patchwork lesson gave me clear idea about how to approach teaching of the receptive skills and also how to overcome the problems students might have with listening and reading during the class. I feel confident about after reading this unit that I will be able to create a good ESA lesson plan to teach receptive skills.
