Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

This unit covered more than what the title indicated, which was welcome. The difference between authentic and non-authentic materials is crystal clear in my mind but after my own reading into the two, I realised that authentic materials have some important 'weaknesses' if I can call them that in that theyr are often too L2 culturally laden and heavy with uncomprehensible language. I will have to be smart in selecting authentic materials and explaining to students that they shouldn't feel they have failed if they can't understand the whole item. I learned something about coursebooks which is good because knowing what I know now, I can say I would have done things differently the last time I taught from the book (I should have substituted and adapted some material that was irrelevant to my students, young novice monks). Regarding lesson planningI was already familar with it from my TESOL certificate but the practice has sharpened my planning. Lastly, I found the end of module activity useful because I really did get stuck in and find suotable worksheets and integrate them into what I felt was an effective lesson plan.
