In this unit I learned about the four basic language skills, reading, listening, speaking, and writing. The focus of this unit was the receptive skills (reading and listening) and how to effectively teach those skills to students. I really thought the suggestion of using a variety of different topics in order to help cater to the students interests was incredibly useful tool to encourage and maintain motivation for the students.
