In this unit I watched two examples of an ESA demonstration class. In the first video the teacher made a number of mistakes that were corrected in the second video. One mistake was the use of high concept language instead of eliciting information through concepts that are already understood by the students. Also, there was a very big difference in attitude and participation level of the class in the two videos. This made it clear that having a positive attitude and encouraging students can lead to drastic difference in their ability to comprehend and engage with the material.
